69 Animals in Cipulir Get Anti-Rabies Vaccines

Some 69 animals were vaccinated with anti-rabies vaccines in the vaccination drive held in Cipulir Urban Village, Kebayoran Lama Sub-district.

South Jakarta Maritime, Agricultural and Food Security Sub-agency (KPKP) Head, Medika Sari said the vaccination was held during the door-to-door services held from January 30 to February 1, 2024.

"It is held in RW 04, 05, and 09, Cipulir Urban Village which focuses on cats, dogs, foxes, and monkeys, this is free," she expressed, Friday (2/2).

Vaccination Given to 36 Animals in Ancol Urban Village

Of 69 animals, 59 were cats, eight were dogs, one was the monkey, and one was the fox.

"Animals vaccinated against rabies must be in good health, at least four months old, and not pregnant or breastfeeding," she explained.

She added it would keep being intensified in South Jakarta.

"We want to maintain the title of Jakarta being Free Rabies," he asserted.

He urged residents to visit rabies vaccination service locations in order to protect pets and their owners.

"For further information, you can visit the South Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency's Instagram social media or the KPKP Executing Unit," he added.

Sally, one of the pet owners in Cipulir Urban Village, admitted that she was very happy and helped by the free rabies vaccination door-to-door service.

"In total, I have four cats considering the independent vaccination is expensive. So, this service is very useful," he stated.
